Poems

Axel is in the "Gifted and Talented" program at his school, and their teacher did a poetry night at the park. I thought that Axel's poems were quite apocalyptic, but it turns out everyone's were. It was the most depressing poetry I have ever heard! Haha! And the park's music was stuck on because whoever knew how to turn it off was not available... But at least it was nice outside!

Also Axel insisted on memorizing his poems and not taking up his papers, so of course he got flustered and forgot the words. But he persisted!

Worries, by Axel Call

Splash,

Splash,

Splash.

Worries go over a waterfall,

Swish,

Swish,

Swish.

Worries disappear at the bottom of the waterfall.

Gush,

Gush,

Gush.

Worries empty into the sea.

Stare,

Stare,

Stare.

Worries stare at the stars.

Why Stop There? By Axel Call

Boom!

A nuclear bomb explodes.

Boom!

Has mankind gone too far?

Boom!

We might explode the earth.

Boom!

But why stop there?

Boom!

Next is Mars.
