Axel’s Birthday and Bakersfield trip

Axel turned 10! He wanted to go to teppanyaki, so we took our friends with us! It was so fun!

Birthday loot.

On Axel's actual birthday, we drove to Southern California to spend a few days with cousins and the B side of the family.

Great-Grandma B got tickets for all of us to caravan through a light show! We had Ivy, Adeline, Peter, Felix, and Abram in our car. Axel chose to go with his cousin Everett in a different car.

Then we did cake when we got back.

Abram slept in our hotel room with Felix (two of the loudest snorers you've ever heard) and Axel and Everett slept with Gramma in her room.

Back to the B's house to hang out.

One happy Gramma.

It was a bit rainy on our walk, but it felt nice.

These two love to hold hands.

My uncles, aunt, and cousins and their families came over for dinner. I think we had 38(?) people there! It was amazing!

All the great-grandkids! (minus one who was still in his mommy's tummy for another month)

All the cousins.

Everybody!

Ivy thought Brutus was okay.

On the last day, the kids came over to play nintendo while Dallin and Alicia packed up.

Peter wearing the shirt I made him.

I made Renee's and Alicia's shirts too.

And Samuel and Abrams' shirts!

I am so glad that we were able to go visit everyone, I hadn't seen most of my cousins in years!

Christmas 2022

Christmas Eve dinner

Snuggling with Daddy

Showing Uncle Brenny something cool on Gramma's phone.

Exchanging presents

Ivy wanted to eat everything.

Gramma got the kids towels with their names embroidered on them!

We opened our Christmas Eve books and ornaments.

Cookies for Santa, and carrots for the reindeer.

Christmas was on a Sunday, so we woke up really early to have time to open most presents before getting ready for church!

I sneakily made a shirt for Jeff! He was so surprised! The print is comic book super heroes and their weapons.

And Jeff got me a serger!!!! Best gift ever!

Christmas mayhem.

Then we got ready and went to church. I accompanied 8 musical numbers, so I was a busy lady! The boys sung with the other Primary kids and did an amazing job!

After church, we opened even MORE gifts. (Grandparents: lets tone it down next year please!)

These RC cars are so fast! And they had to become outside toys because they were punching dents in the baseboards!

Volume DOWN. Axel playing his theramin.

Axel can build LEGO sets so fast!

Next day: wearing new outfits!

Another quick build!

 Merry Christmas 2022!
