Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

We were able to go with the C side of the family to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico!

Day 1
At the airport, ready to board!

Axel thought that riding the shuttle to the car rental place was so fun.

Checking out the pool and cabana at our condo.

Day 2
Axel liked reading on the porch.

At the beach!

Playing games after the little kids went to bed.

Day 2
Stitch came all the way to Mexico with us!

A sweet nap spot.

We went to a different resort this day, and to get to the beach and pool we had to take a golf cart down. It was such a windey and crazy ride!

This day was the coolest temperature day, but we still had a good time.

Playing football on the beach.

Jenny and Gary and their kids got there this day. We went to a yummy Mexican restaurant.

Poor Axel was too tired and fell asleep before dinner even got to the table.

Day 3

For my Grandpa B- we passed this gate a bunch of times so I finally took a picture! So random in Mexico!

We went back to the first resort on this day.

Felix did not like the water!

Everybody lounging waiting for our lunch to be delivered. They had the best nachos and fish tacos!

Axel loved playing Guesstures. He was actually pretty good at it!

Day 4
We went on a hike up that mountain you can see in the background. It was much harder than we had anticipated, and Felix cried almost the entire time... But it was a good experience!

The hike is run by a dog rescue shelter (the hike is free but they encourage you to donate to the shelter) and some of the dogs hiked with us.

Nursing at the top of the mountain. It sure did not help him cry less on the way down!

As soon as Papa pulled him out of the front pack, he was happy!

Axel's favorite rescue dog.

Day 5
Some of the group went to a different town to do shopping, and the rest of us stayed at the condo to swim. This pool won the award for warmest water. It felt so nice!

The pool had nets over the water, and Felix enjoyed doing some tummy time on one.

We got some delicious tacos at a hole-in-the-wall place.

Day 6
Whale watching! And we went by the Cabo arch as well.

Flashback: January 2008! In the same place!

Dolphins swam with the ship for a while. While Axel sat on the netting, the dolphins swam right below him! He loved it!

Humpback whale fluke.

Two humpbacks breached out of the water about 8 times each really close to us!

We went to our favorite resort for the rest of the day.

Collin and Axel were such good buddies!

Ranae loved holding Felix.

Axel and I swimming (this pool was not very warm!)

Day 7

Axel read Collin and Matthew these travel guides over and over again. They were good sports!

Enjoying the roof for the last time!

4 didn't shave, and 1 did. And boy, do they all look related!

Family picture before we left for the airport!

Trying to get to our plane at the airport was BONKERS, but we made it.

Goodbye Mexico! We had a great time! And we are so glad we got to spend so much time with family!
