Axel's Birthday Party

Axel had a Pokemon birthday party!

Coloring Pokemon pictures.

Playing "put the pokeball on the poster" (like pin the tail on the donkey).

Felix having a turn.
Meg, Nanaki, Kotona, Alexander, Axel, Miyu, and Ayane. I love that they are all the exact same height except Meg!

Looking at the new Dogman book together.

Meg and the Pikachu balloon.

Jeffrey (Alexander's dad) and Jeff

Me and Marina (Alexander's mom)

Chocolate face!

Playing a Pokemon version of duck duck goose.

Felix and pokeball balloon, that met its demise a few minutes later from the corner of a table.

Axel's birthday party was a lot of fun and we're so glad that many of his friends were able to attend!

New Years and Early January

Saddest note to Santa ever. I had to explain to him that Santa doesn't fix toys.

My niece and nephews wearing the shirts I made them!

Hello? Felix?

Never going grocery shopping on New Year's Eve again. 40 minute wait to checkout.

Felix decided to start long-distance walking on New Year's Eve! He was only doing at most 8 steps before this.

New Year's Day we went to Queens Zoo.

In a reversal from the norm, Axel and Meg are in baby jail to play with the magic set so that Felix couldn't get it.

Jeff was part of a book signing for the "Art of Spies in Disguise". His signature is on the bottom left. (He hasn't brought his copy home yet, so I resorted to a screenshot from a friend's instagram)

Axel's drawing of Lance from Spies in Disguise.

Felix wearing my shoes.

His new favorite spot, standing on the floorboard heater behind Axel's bed.

Cool guy sunglasses.

More really good walking!

I can't change the laundry in the basement without locking the door behind me anymore.

And now he can climb chairs.

And whatever this is. He thinks it is hilarious. He is balancing on his head with his arms between his legs.

He mostly goes to nursery for the snacks.

Having fun with my fabric stash.

Axel's snowman for school.

Accidentally put Felix in one of Axel's shirts, and it wasn't THAT huge on him...

Axel's Birthday

Axel turned 7! For his birthday we went to see Spies in Disguise, opened presents, did a Star Wars puzzle, and ate all his favorite foods. Happy Birthday big guy!

Christmas

(The pictures from early December somehow got corrupted so Jeff is working on that for me. In the meantime, I'm going to skip them and move along to later posts)

I made matching Snowman Cactus shirts for us! (This was earlier in the month, before I had Lasik)

Sunday before Christmas fancy dress pictures.

And Grandma J came to celebrate Christmas with us!

On the 23rd, we decided to go down into NYC to see the lights and shop windows.

Rockefeller tree

Crushed by crowds outside the Saks 5th Avenue light show.

Reading with Grandma on Christmas Eve.

Christmas Eve dinner.

Dancing in our Christmas Eve jammies.

Axel's letter to Santa. It says "Dear Santa, Thank you for the presents. Merry Christmas. From Axel."

Santa came!

The boys on Christmas morning.

Felix kinda figured out opening presents.

Surrounded by his loot.

Aerin gave me a Jeff Goldblum in Jurassic Park pillow case. So hilarious!

Axel after he put together his present from Santa. Evolution of Eevee.

Jenga was a big hit! Axel was really good at it! The tower was so tall before this happened.

The day after Christmas we drove up to Newport to see the Mansions decorated for Christmas.

They had gingerbread versions of the mansions! This one is the Breakers (the Vanderbilt mansion).

Outside the Breakers.

Gingerbread Elms house.

Bathroom selfie. This was in the Elms. The people who lived there covered their toilets with wicker chairs, so they wouldn't look like toilets.

Outside the Elms.

Grandma J modeling the shirt I made her for Christmas. The print is baby Avengers.

The 27th we went to the Bronx Zoo Lights. They had ice sculptures.

Ice slide!

Inside the mouth of a shark (see below for what the shark looked like).

Wearing the Toy Story pjs Gramma got them.

 We had a lovely Christmas!
