Family Pictures Fall 2019

October

Watching Axel play baseball.

Playing with Alexander.

So silly, trying to lick the jelly off his plate.

Celebrating Daddy's birthday!

Felix helping open presents.

Felix...

I got trick candles, which were a big hit.

Axel took his first steps on October 10th!

Felix is getting really good at stacking.

So flexible.

We went up to our friend's property in Massachusetts again for a Fall Festival.

I made matching Halloween shirts for me and the boys.

Axel doing his best to be like Nadal.

Felix took some really good steps when we got home.

FHE about putting on the Armor of God.

Axel helping Felix walk.

Axel and his friend Daniel.

Axel's school asked for cards for a children's hospital, and this was Axel's contribution. "Feel good. Axel." And labeled grass and Charmander. He may need to work on empathy.

Everybody had the sillies at dinner.

Jeff got to hold a kangaroo at work!

Axel's last at-bat for fall practice season! I almost didn't get the camera on in time because he hit it on first pitch! He has improved so much!

Grandma J came to visit!

More walking practice. He likes to dive towards us after a few steps.

Halloween! Axel is a fox.

Felix is a chicken.

Thanks for coming Grandma!

Blue Sky Halloween party.

The boys were terrified of this Headless Horseman figure that moved.

Felix got to try his first sucker!

After trick-or-treating the neighborhood.

The mummy hot dogs I made for dinner.

Axel's notebook from school. The longer you look at it, the more treasures you see! He is so funny!

Washington DC Trip

We took a trip to Washington DC during a short school break.

Riding the subway "all by himself."

Family selfie with the Washington Monument.

It was sooo rainy and wet! But the good thing is that less people were around.

The Calls visit the White House.

We accidentally took the long way to the Lincoln Memorial, but we found a pretty pond.

Somebody lost their scooter.

Lincoln Memorial.

Korean War Memorial.

MLK Memorial.

FDR Memorial.

Steps of the Jefferson Memorial. I made those shirt they are wearing.

Practicing walking up steps.

Letting Felix getting some crawling time inside the Jefferson Memorial.

Then we walked to the Hirshhorn Museum (modern art). This was an interesting display outside.

Last stop of the day: Air and Space Museum.

Moon Lander.

THE original Wright Brothers airplane.

Day 2: Playing with his reflection.

We went to the Capitol Building, and they gave Felix a headset too, haha.

Rotunda of the Capitol Building.

Hall of Statues. Each State gets to display two statues, so the bulk of them are in this room.

Newest statue, had only been there two weeks! It is also the tallest.

Oh Felix...

Nap time at the Smithsonian Natural History Museum.

Axel made the same pose in all the pictures!

Day 3: National Zoo

Pretending to hold baby cheetahs.

So lifelike, no? Haha.

So many baby naked mole rats!

What Axel was most excited for: Pandas!

One of them even woke up while we were there!

Very realistic looking sea lion statue.

It was so nice to take a trip as the 4 of us, and the boys are pretty good travelers!
