Labor Day and First Week of Kindergarten!

That is one tired boy.

Super-baby leg strength

Super messy face!

Argh, I can't figure out how to turn this video with the new youtube editor... Sorry. I like to imagine that he is tapdancing!

Our good friends "Grandma Debbie" and "Grandpa Tom" came for dinner (they were visiting from Utah)!

On Labor Day, we braved the crowds to go to the aquarium at Coney Island to see the new shark exhibit.

Love that double chin!

This picture doesn't adequately depict how HUGE this manta ray was! Easily 5 feet across!

The best lunch spot

Axel got to ride a few rides

Delicious gelato

First day of kindergarten! It was only for a half hour, and I had to take him. But he got to meet his teacher and half of his class.

Getting on the bus!

Felix snuggles

Excited boy getting off the bus. It turns out that most of his friends take the same bus as him.

This is marked improvement in his neck skills. Still crazy wild neck movements, but at least he isn't constantly slumped like before!

Trying something new to get him to lift his head. Didn't work. Instead he used his super-baby leg strength to push himself over the top of the pillow.

Hanging out on the couch

First day of soccer!

Felix guarding Jeff's sketchbook from the rain

Huddle at the end of the game

So tired out he fell asleep against the wall

Legos

A little too much brotherly love?

We are starting to use his elephant blanky for making him tired and ready to sleep (not actually sleeping in the crib with it yet, since he could suffocate), and so far its been working like a charm!

Jeff's phone dump (including more pics from Utah)

Making a bird house

"What the heck, mom?"

Ice cream date with Daddy

 Swimming with Papa

On our hike

Trying to play pool

Expert at ping pong, haha.

Giving the green macaw a dollar at Tracy Aviary

Happy on the airplane! He was a really great traveller.

We showed Felix the Bronx zoo

"Mom, this sweater is too small!"
