December 2023

That's one place to read.

Ivy keeps stealing my phone, and later I find random videos. Usually they end up in slow motion, but this one luckily didn't so it can be watched and enjoyed at normal speed.

Church Christmas breakfast.

Axel decided to sit with his buddies, and ignore his family. His friend Boston had brought a 360 camera and filmed the whole breakfast, haha.

Ivy was okay with Santa this year, and we didn't try to make her sit on his lap.

Decorating for Christmas.

Notice Axel in the fake muscle suit.

The kids enjoyed playing with this felt Christmas tree all month. And Axel added an executioner's hat to his outfit, haha.

Reading a bedtime story with Daddy in the hallway.

I can't remember what game they were playing, but they had a lot of fun with Daddy.

Felix loves doing puzzles with Gramma.

Holiday hat day at school. Felix wanted to wear his jog-a-thon headband AND a Santa hat, so we had to be creative.

Ivy loves to say the "Hey" part in "Jingle Bells."

Our Stake had a Christ-centered Art Night, so I made this Nativity lightbox and the Primary children helped put the tissue paper on to make it look like stained glass. I think it turned out well!

Axel and Jeff made a goal to finish reading the Book of Mormon by the end of the year. Axel finished on December 12th! Good job dude!

Time to get rid of the Baby Mullet!

Much better.

We had a fun Saturday planned, but unfortunately Puke Day reared its ugly head. So Jeff got to stay home with Felix all day, while I took the other two kids out.

We met Gramma and Grampa and Uncle B at a restaurant near the Temple (they had just done a session).

Then we went to look at the temple lights. It was pretty cold so we sped through, but still had a good time.

Ivy fit into Felix's old Christmas shirt that I made 4 years ago, and Felix fit into Axel's, and I still fit into mine (thank goodness). Not sure how I didn't get a picture of all 3 of us together, whoops!

Cheeky girl! She only tried to open a present once, but the baby gate did prove rather ineffective this year. Good thing she does not have destructive tendencies.

Felix was in a Gingerbread Man musical at school, with all the Kindergarteners and TK kids. It was super cute.

There were only 12 speaking parts, and they asked him to say one! His teacher said it was because he is so good at following directions, haha. I am so glad he's good at school, since he likes to be rather a pain at home.

"But the clever fox pretended not to hear him."

Grampa got to come to the musical too!

Felix chose Five Guys for dinner. Mostly because he likes the peanuts.

Axel is such a good big brother to Ivy.

Felix's Christmas card to his teacher. His writing looks so great! And he decided to draw the Grinch.

Making sure snow clothes fit before going to Utah.

We went to a super decked out house to see their Christmas lights. It was amazing!

Things I made this month (lots because I made Christmas gifts)

I made this before he was born, but Walter could finally wear it! So cute!

Walter's Christmas gift.

So darling!

I decided to make a preemie outfit for Caroline so she could look fabulous in the hospital. She got to wear it a couple times before outgrowing it (plus she got to go home right before Christmas!), so they donated the outfit to the NICU. That means lots of baby girls will get to wear it!

Matching creepy-crawlers shirts for Samuel and Renee. Renee's have a slightly puffed shoulder (hard to see in the picture).

Shark shirt for Peter.

Harry Potter's Marauders' Map for Everett. Bummed I didn't have enough fabric to do long sleeves.

Frogs for Abram.

Solid pink for Adeline, to match the rainbow leggings I made for her birthday.

Jammies for Axel.

Jammies for Felix.

Jammies for Ivy.

Scripture bags for our incoming Sunbeams at church.

Cross-stitch for Brennen.
