December 2021

December was very eventful, so hold on for a long post!

Axel started Taekwondo. Its a big time commitment (3 times a week!) but luckily its super close by and he LOVES it.

He might need to work on his push-up form.

We squeezed into our Christmas shirts I made two years ago. 21 weeks pregnant.

The boys got to meet Santa at our ward's Christmas party.

Felix kept it professional, of course.

Let's see, how many things can I put on my Christmas list?

Merry Christmas Sunday!

6 in the bed, over and over again.

Cousins came to visit, and we got to go down to the M grandparents' house to decorate cookies.

Felix

Abram

Axel and Everett

Lots of LEGO time.

Playing guitar with Grandpa

That's a lot of little boys!

Then the boys made sugar cookies with Grandma Sheri. She got to come visit for Christmas and Axel's birthday!

Fighting with magic like Harry Potter.

Grandma Sheri gave Axel this nutcracker LEGO set and he put it together really quick!

Stories with Grandma.

Felix vs. Google again.

Making dinner rolls on Christmas Eve.

Felix made a dinosaur and Axel made a tiger (that turned out looking like a bear).

Our delicious dinner spread.

Merry Christmas!

We held a little talent show that night. Axel played Jingle Bells.

Sheri sang while I played "I'll Be Home for Christmas"

Felix played an untitled piece

Jeff and Axel did "Silent Night"

Then we got Santa's cookies ready. There was some miscommunication and Felix ate one of Santa's cookies. Whoops! Hopefully that didn't put him on the naughty list!

Then we read Christmas stories and acted out the Nativity with little figures and went to bed!

Stockings.

Lots of presents!

Wearing the hats Grandma Sheri gave us.

Daddy special-ordered these miniatures that look like the boys, and hand-painted them himself!

Later in the day on Christmas, we drove down to the M's for more presents and cousin time.

Samuel was super happy with the cape I made (or he's just jolly all the time).

Tamale dinner.

Couple of goofballs.

We got several cool games for Christmas, so we tried out a few of them after church.

Jeff playing games while also being a jungle gym.

We drove to the Oakland Temple to look at the Christmas lights.

It was cold and a bit rainy!

This year they had giving machines. We donated art supplies and toilet building kits.

We had delicious BBQ for dinner.

For Axel's birthday, we went to the Oakland Zoo!

Felix slept so peacefully on the way home.

Then we all went back to our house for Axel's birthday party.

Axel reading his card to find out his big birthday surprise!

Can you believe he is 9?

The bigger kids slept over at our house that night, then we dropped them off with Grandma M at the LEGO Discovery Center. They had a fantastic time!

So much partying made for a very tired kid.

We played games with friends on New Year's Eve, Felix liked this Poopyhead one.

Axel made it until midnight on New Year's! I "made it" if you count falling asleep on the couch and waking up moments before midnight...
