January

I am sooooo behind uploading pictures! So here is our January pictures!

Pictures of Axel at school.

A push and pull science experiment.

They had "hat week" at school and wore hats in class every day. Axel is in the back row all the way to the right in both pictures.

Yoga day!

Shaving cream writing.

Recent Axel drawings.

The "D" word he chose to draw. I love it!

Oh my gosh, so hilarious! It says "I have a dream.... to get better at my video game." He had recently started playing a Pokemon game, so you can tell that was on his mind!

A card he made for his best friend Meg, mixing her favorite thing (pandas) with his favorite thing (Pokemon).

A snowball fight between Axel and Jeff.

Felix trying to steal Daddy's bread.

When we got back from Mexico, he started rolling all over the place!

Circus baby.

Axel loves to sit in Felix's seat.

Felix started eating solid foods!

Axel fell at recess and got a big bruise. I had to pick him up from school and get him checked out by the doctor. He was fine, but he decided to look "sick" for this picture.

Practicing sitting.

We had a small birthday celebration for Axel's belated birthday. Meg came over to play.

I made Axel's favorite dinner (shrimp pasta).

He got more presents, yay!

Thanks for the present, Luke and Chelsea!

He got cool toys from us and Grandma J!

Felix's first ride in the grocery cart seat had mixed results.

I took him out of his snowsuit and put him to bed, then came out and just about had a heart attack! It looks so life-like!

Wrestling.

He was pretty happy about his first time in the bouncer.

Banana face.

He hasn't quite figured out what to do when things (like Daddy) are in the way.

This kid loves to put blankets on his face. Yikes!

We had a rough night one night... The boiler stopped working around 9pm and the repair man couldn't come until 8am in the morning (and it was about 20 degrees outside). So we moved the kids into our room and used the space heater. Our kids are noisy sleepers so Jeff and I didn't really sleep, and then all of the sudden at 1am the CO2 detector in Axel's room went off because its lithium battery reached its end of life (what horrible timing). Then the thing that is supposed to turn it off wasn't working and it was beeping like crazy, so Jeff and I took it apart and cut the wires leading to the noise-making part. It was a wild and crazy night! The house got down to 50 degrees or so before the heater got repaired. So cold! Thank goodness for a space heater.

Eating breakfast in his crib in the only warm room in the house!

He learned how to blow rasberries.

Got his arm under the handle of the bucket!

Water bottles are so fun!

Standing like a big boy!

We measured his hair and it is 4 inches long!

Brother snuggles.

Carrot mustache.

Felix has a hilarious wiggle dance.

This kid loves to roll across the room just to knock over Mommy's water bottle.

Holding the dinner bags while I carried him up the stairs. He takes his job seriously!

Cutest brothers.

How did he do that so fast?

Felix is 7 months old! He can sit unassisted for a little bit!

We got the stomach flu (it tooks 2 weeks for everyone to finally get it), Jeff had a couple of work trips, then Axel got bronchiolitis with a touch of pneumonia. January and February (next post) were not my favorite, to be honest. So much of being sick!

Giggles and a good view of his tooth coming in.

Axel and Jeff had the opportunity to do a drawing project together. The Sunday School teacher in our ward likes to make little booklets to help with our Come Follow Me study, and asks kids to illustrate them.

They turned out so great!

Cutie after bath time!

Peekaboo, there are two bottom teeth there!
